Description: We have a 160-acre “Revolutionary” GREEN Farm in Pittstown, New Jersey. Our farm has a solar panel system that supplies all of our electrical needs. 2011 will be our 34rd year at Oak Grove. The Blew family (Ted, Susan, Charity, Eric, and Jonathan) manage the family farm. We produce the grains which are milled by us into flour and meal. We also grow a wide variety of heirloom vegetables. In our orchard we produce peaches, Asian pears, and apples. Our hogs are raised on the farm from birth from our own sows. The herd is Certified Disease Free by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. There are absolutely no hormones, antibiotics, or growth steroids used in the hog operation. All of our pork products are all natural, WITHOUT any preservatives, nitrites, or MSG. Our flour, meal, and pork products are available year-round. Our vegetables are available late June through November. Winter squash and pumpkins are available October through December. Over 100± varieties of potted herbs are available year-round. Our homemade baked goods are made with our own products, in addition to ingredients form local farmers. They are available from late October through March. ----------NEW FOR 2011;-------------- Nature's Angus - Pasture Raised Black Angus Beef. After years of raising pigs on our farm, we have started an all-natural Black Angus beef herd. We are utilizing our 160 acre property, allowing our cows to graze on pasture, and will be using our same philosophy on using NO growth hormones, steroids or antibiotics. Black Angus Beef will be available in October 2011! CSA Program -Community Supported Agriculture We will be starting a CSA Program for the 2011 Growing Season.
